brand & logo
The visual system that represents payware in every communication. One canonical mark, one approved color, a small set of supporting variants for when the canonical does not fit the context.
1. Canonical logo
Horizontal, transparent background, no slogan. Use this version in roughly nine out of ten placements. Reach for a supporting variant only when this one does not fit the context.
payware-logo.svg Download SVG - Treat the logo as an individual unit. Never divide it.
- Treat it as an image, not a word. Do not use it inside a sentence, headline, or title.
- Never redraw or modify the logo.
- Place on a white or light background. On a colored background, switch to black or white depending on contrast.
- When placing on photography, use the clearest area of the image and ensure high contrast.
2. Writing the name
The payware name is always written in lowercase. Treat it as a brand mark, not a regular word.
Lowercase wins in every context where it can: body copy, headlines, titles, URLs, social posts, presentations, email subjects. The wordmark itself is lowercase, and the written name follows it.
The only carve-out is coding identifiers where the language or framework enforces a different case. A Java class is naturally `PaywareClient`; a package path is `com.payware.client`. Outside of that, default to lowercase.

3. Brand color
Gray, white, and black are the only approved colors for the logo. The primary color is PMS Cool Gray 10 - the single value used in every digital and print surface.

Reverse#000000
- Gray on white or light backgrounds.
- White on dark or saturated colored backgrounds.
- Black only when print or production restrictions require a single ink and white reverse will not work.
- Never recolour the logo outside this set.
How that looks in practice
Gray on white - the default
White on dark - high-contrast surfaces
Black on white - single-ink print
4. Clear space and minimum size
Clear space
Allow a margin on every side equal to the x-height of the lowercase letters in the wordmark. The clear space scales with the logo. No other element - text, image, edge of frame - may enter that zone.
Minimum size
Reproduce the logo at no less than 0.75 inches (19.05 mm) wide in print, or roughly 72 px wide on screen. Below that, the wordmark loses legibility.
Placement
The horizontal lockup is preferred. Use the square variant only when the container is square or near-square. For digital surfaces, the upper-right corner is the default; for print, the lower-right or lower-left. When none of these positions work, choose the corner with the most clear space.
Online sample placement
Default on digital surfaces: upper-right of the viewport, inside the clear-space margin.
Print sample placement
Default on print: lower-right of the page, with lower-left as the alternate when the right corner is already occupied.
5. Supporting variants
Use a supporting variant only when the canonical does not fit. Default back to the canonical the moment the context allows.
Square
container is square or near-square - social avatars, app tiles, equal-aspect placements

When the payware logo appears alongside a partner logo, apply the rules below. All co-branded uses require approval from payware Brand and Creative.
- payware-led materials: payware logo on the left, partner logo on the right.
- Partner-led materials: partner logo on the left, payware logo on the right.
- All logos appear equal in size.
- Center-align the payware logo horizontally or vertically with the other logo.
- Maintain equal distance between all logos.
- Separate the two logos with a 1-pt stroke divider in PMS Cool Gray 10 (or its CMYK / RGB equivalent). A vertical divider is the height of the logo clear space; a horizontal divider is the length of the payware logo.

7. Logo don'ts
Inconsistent use erodes recognition. The examples below are not exhaustive - any deviation from the canonical or supporting variants requires approval.

- Do not add a gradient fill.
- Do not outline the wordmark.
- Do not rotate the logo.
- Do not distort, stretch, or skew the logo.
-
+
Do not combine the payware logo with another graphic to create a new mark. - Do not use colors outside gray, white, and black.
- Do not place the logo on a low-contrast background that hides it.
8. Use cases and policies
Who may use the payware logo, and in what context.
Corporate use
The logo appears on payware products and packaging, payware websites, advertising, marketing collateral, signage, forms, and merchandise.
Partner co-branding
Co-branding is allowed on materials produced as a cooperative arrangement between payware and an official payware business partner. All logo standards apply. Approval required.
Event sponsorships
The logo may appear on print and digital collateral for third-party events where payware has a contractual sponsorship - for example Money20/20, MoneyLive Summit, FinovateEurope - or at recruiting events such as career fairs.
Business and non-profit partners
Third-party businesses (other than vendors) and non-profits in a contractual partnership with payware may use the logo on their website and marketing materials and reference payware as a partner.
Vendors
Vendors may not use the payware logo on their websites or marketing materials and may not reference payware as a customer. Use by another company implies an endorsement or relationship. Exceptions reviewed by payware Brand and Legal.
